It gives you the freedom to print a wide range of formats from almost all your favorite mobile apps to a wide range of printers from different manufacturers.

After downloading PrintJinni on your device, please print a test page on your printer to make sure it is compatible.

Yes, you can. PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) allows you to wirelessly print to any supported printer with Wi-Fi support or that is available on a Wi-Fi network directly. You have a choice between auto-discovered and manually-configured printers.

PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) lets you print most documents in their native format directly from your Apple iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Our goal is to make sure your printed documents retain their original formatting as if printed from a Microsoft Windows PC/Apple Mac computer and ensure high quality printouts. However, please note that there is no guaranteed support for all fonts, or minor formatting selections. If you need completely accurate prints, we recommend that you print directly from your Microsoft Windows PC/Apple Mac computer.

Just select and copy your email content into PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version)'s "Paste Board" and print.

(Note: You will not be able to copy and print header information.)

PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) supports wireless mobile printing of downloaded email attachments from some of the most popular email accounts (such as MobileMeSM, Yahoo®Mail, Hotmail®, Gmail™, AOL®, Microsoft Exchange, etc.) configured in the Apple Mail app. On selecting a particular attachment for preview, that document is displayed along with a confirmation to print. Upon selecting 'Print', PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) automatically prints to the default printer you have selected. To enable printing of supported Microsoft Office documents, PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) requires access to Cloud Services.

PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) lets you paste any content that can be selected and copied. Just paste the copied content onto the "Paste Board" and print. For images and web content, the pasted content is fit to page size while printing. "Paste Board" is enabled only if you are subscribed to PrintJinni Services.

Yes, this is a key benefit of the PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) wireless mobile print app. You can print from any app using "Open in PrintJinni", provided the document type is supported and file sharing is enabled in that app.

Yes. PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) lets you use your favorite web browser and enables printing with a few simple steps.

For printing a specific webpage, just type/copy the URL into the address bar in the app and tap 'Go'. PrintJinni generates a preview of the webpage before you print it. You have an option to include background and linked images to the preview. However, selecting this option will considerably increase the time taken to preview and print. Webpage printing requires a valid PrintJinni Services subscription and access to Cloud Services.

For printing webpages of logged-in/secure sessions (for e.g., an invoice of an online purchase), just select and copy the content, and use PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version)'s "Paste Board" to print. "Paste Board" is enabled only if you have a valid subscription to PrintJinni Services.

Yes. PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) wireless mobile print app lets you print supported documents from web storage apps on your Apple device. You need to login to your web storage account from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, select the file and tap on “Open in PrintJinni” to preview and print to your printer. This feature is enabled only if you have a valid subscription to PrintJinni Services.

Should you not wish to register, then you may opt for the Limited Use Option, in which case PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) can still function on your Apple device with limited functionality available through "My Photos" for printing only JPEG files.

PrintJinni Services provides you with the following:

  • Print Services, which consists of In Device Services and remote Cloud Services
  • Support Services, which offers you technical support via email (in English only)

PrintJinni Services is offered in a subscription model. Without subscribing to PrintJinni Services, you will not be able to print supported Microsoft Office documents, webpages or utilize the full wireless mobile printing functionality of the app. Subscription requires you to provide us with a valid email address or Facebook® or Google +™.

In Device Services offered with PrintJinni Services allows you to print supported files that do not need access to Cloud Services.

The Cloud Services offered with PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) are operated on high-availability servers on the Web. However, the Cloud Services may not be uninterrupted and their availability is subject to server and network maintenance and upgrades, or disruption due to any other unforeseen events. The remote server is a trusted website. Your data is sent via SSL and uses 128-bit encryption. However, please note that there are risks inherent in Internet connectivity that could result in loss of privacy, property and your confidential information.

We expect you to use the Cloud Services for lawful purposes only. You shall not use the Cloud Services in violation of any applicable law or regulation. This includes without limitation, material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property rights used without proper authorization, and material that that is obscene, defamatory, seditious, incites racial disharmony, constitutes an illegal threat or violates export control law. In the event of a violation, we reserve the right to terminate your subscription for PrintJinni Services.

When you use the Cloud Services for printing, we store your documents on our servers only for the duration necessary to enable printing. However, we do collect certain personal data (like your email address) and usage statistics to track subscription, ensure your compliance with the terms of usage of PrintJinni Services, and to modify/enhance our offerings.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor any documents sent by you to the Cloud Services, to investigate any reported or apparent violation of the End User License and Services Agreement, and to take any action that we in our sole discretion deem appropriate.

If you do not subscribe to PrintJinni Services, you will be able use PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) wireless mobile print app only in the Limited Use Option, with limited functionality available through "My Photos" for printing only JPEG files.

No. If you plan to use PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) in the Limited Use Option, you do not need to subscribe to PrintJinni Services. However, you will have limited functionality available through "My Photos" for printing only JPEG files.

The print performance offered by PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) depends on the memory and processing power available on your Apple device. In addition, the file size and the bandwidth available on your Wi-Fi or 3G/4G service to download it from your email or web storage services and access Cloud Services will also determine performance. Further, while we have provisioned adequate computing capacity for Cloud Services, it is also dependent on the concurrent number of users accessing the service at that point of time.

PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) supports Apple® MobileMe℠, Gmail™, Microsoft® Exchange, AOL®, Yahoo® Mail, Hotmail®, other popular email servers that can be configured using the Apple Mail app.

You can print supported documents from the web storage services by logging in to your web storage account from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, selecting the file and tapping “Open in PrintJinni” to preview and print to your printer.

No. PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) cannot edit any documents on your Apple device. It only allows you to preview and print.

PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) does not support password-protected email attachments. However, you can still open the document, select and copy the content you wish to print using "Paste Board".

For printing webpages of logged-in/secure sessions, you need to select and copy the content you wish to print using PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version)'s "Paste Board".

PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) supports Facebook, Flickr™ and Picasa™ through "Social Networks". Most other apps including Google+, Instagram, Photobucket™, Snapfish® and Shutterfly® are supported through "My Photos".

You need to enter a valid account user name and password using "Social Networks". The credentials you provide are used to gain access to your albums and download your photos. PrintJinni's "Social Networks" allows you to logout from your Facebook, Flickr and Picasa accounts.

PrintJinni obtains album listing and photos from your Facebook, Flickr and Picasa accounts through "Social Networks". The downloaded information is stored in your mobile device and is updated/synced every time the album listing is accessed by you. This stored/cached information is deleted when you logout.

You can use any paper type including photo paper that is supported by your printer. Results may vary, as PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) is not using the highest available resolution of the printer.

Setup and Usage

In PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version), you will need to provide a valid email address or with your Facebook login credentials, to register and use PrintJinni Services. This will enable printing of supported Microsoft Office documents, webpages and utilize the full wireless mobile printing functionality. In case you don't provide the requested information, then you may opt for the Limited Use Option, in which case PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) can still function on your Apple device with limited functionality available through "My Photos" for printing only JPEG files.

The general process is as follows:

  • Ensure that your Apple device has internet access through either Wi-Fi or 3G/4G network (through your broadband/cellular service connection) to purchase apps from the iTunes® store.
  • Download PrintJinni from the iTunes store.
  • Register by submitting a valid email address or with Facebook login credentials.
  • Ensure that your Apple device and the printer are on the Wi-Fi network. If not, follow the instructions on either the Apple device or printer to setup correctly.
  • Run PrintJinni. Ensure that your Apple device has internet access through either Wi-Fi or 3G/4G network for accessing your email and the Cloud Services (if needed). Also, ensure that your Apple device has access to the printer over Wi-Fi.
  • For email:
    • Configure email using the Apple Mail app.
    • Open the mail using the Apple Mail app.
    • Press and hold the supported file attachment.
    • You will get a pop-up to "Open in PrintJinni".
    • Once open, you can preview and print.
  • For shared documents from other apps:
    • Press and hold the supported file attachment.
    • You will get a pop-up to "Open in PrintJinni".
    • Once open, you can preview and print.
  • For photo/image printing:
    • For photos:
      • In "My Photos", select and add the photos from the Camera Roll.
      • Preview, resize through zoom (if needed) and print.
  • For photos in Facebook, Flickr™ and Picasa™:
    • In "Social Networks", select the social website and login.

    • Paste it in the "Paste Board".

No. PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) can only print via Wi-Fi networks to supported printers that are accessible directly or through a Microsoft Windows PC/Apple Mac computer.

No. PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) supports printers without built-in Wi-Fi capability, which are connected to a Wi-Fi router (printer must be one of the PrintJinni supported printers - refer to Specifications).

If your printer is a PrintJinni supported printer (refer to Specifications), and is available on the Wi-Fi network, then PrintJinni should automatically discover it. If not, please add it manually.

If your printer is a PrintJinni supported printer (refer to Specifications), and is on the Wi-Fi network but is not discovered by PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version), you have to enter the printer name and a valid IP address. Once added, you can validate to check the availability of the printer. Once validated, your printer is ready to use.

Back button will cancel the job. You can also terminate the PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) application with the (Main menu) center button on the Apple device.

If you check the option, all background and linked images in the webpage will be added to the preview. This will considerably increase the time taken to preview and print files.

You can access the Cloud Service if you have a valid PrintJinni Services subscription and have access to a Wi-Fi or 3G/4G or GPRS network.

You can mail any iWork application file (Keynotes or Numbers or Pages) to your email account and use PrintJinni to print. Here are the steps you should follow:

  • In the iWork application view, locate the file you want to print, scrolling until it is in the center of your Apple device screen, and then tap.
  • Tap 'Send via Mail' and then choose the PDF document format.
  • In the email message that appears, type your email address (that is configured in PrintJinni) and a message (if needed), and then tap 'Send'.
  • Open PrintJinni and select the email account to which you have sent the iWork application file.
  • Access the file and print.

  • Select "Buy Services" from PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) wireless mobile print app.
  • Your subscription details (subscription end date) will be displayed.
  • Once your subscription ends, you will be able to choose and buy any one of the PrintJinni Services subscription that is displayed.

Troubleshooting

Our PIN email should be delivered to your email account within a few minutes of registration, subject to Internet traffic conditions. If you are using the Chinese (Simplified), Japanese or Korean version of the app, please ensure that your email address is entered using the International English keyboard.

If you have not received it after a reasonable wait, please follow these instructions:

  • Your custom email filing rules may have moved our PIN email from the Inbox to one of your email Folders. Please check all your email Folders.
  • Occasionally, your email account or internet service provider may classify our PIN email as Spam or Junk. Please check your Spam or Junk email folders and add our email address to your Safe Senders list.
  • If you still have not found our PIN email, it may be lost or blocked by your internet service provider. Please contact our support for assistance by clicking here and note the following:
    • Do not forget to provide the email id you supplied during registration to help us retrieve your PIN. Without this, we will not be able to validate you.
    • In addition, in your support request (in the additional details section), please provide us with an alternate email id (such as a Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo mail id). This is to ensure that our email reaches you.
  • You may also use your Facebook login credentials login to register for PrintJinni services.

Follow the directions in your Printer User Manual or the Quick Start Guide.

Please ensure that:

  • Your printer is a PrintJinni supported printer (refer to Specifications).
  • The printer has been setup using Wi-Fi guidelines as per the Printer User Manual.
  • The printer is turned ON.
  • Your printer is connected to the same network as your Apple iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
  • If you know your printer's IP address, it can be entered manually.

PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) does not store manually added printers. It has to be re-entered.

This can occur due to either of the following:

  • You have chosen to install PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) in the Limited Use Option restricting its wireless mobile printing functionality. Download and re-install the app again and complete the registration process as instructed.

Sometimes when you are in an authorized session and try to print, the URL request sent to the web server will get rejected as the logged session cannot be validated and will result in an error. For such pages, select and copy the content you wish to print from your browser and use PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version)'s "Paste Board" to print.

Complex webpages with several or dynamic elements may not preview or print accurately in the current release of PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version).

You might have checked the option to download background and linked images. Enabling this option will considerably increase the time taken to generate a preview as there is much more content to add to the preview. Uncheck the option and try again.

Yes, sometimes all copied content does not get pasted into "Paste Board". Alternatively, if you are in a non-secure session, you can print using "Webpage Printing".

You may not be able to print photos from your Facebook, Flickr or Picasa account due to the following:

  • You have selected the Limited Use Option at the time of registration.Download and re-install the app again and complete the registration process as instructed.
  • You may not have access to your account due to network problems. Check your network connection.
  • Your credentials may be incorrect. Try re-entering them in "Social Networks".

Open the printer tray, reset the tray slot and replace the existing paper with the required size.

Print to any size smaller than the paper available in the printer. Else, the content in your document that is beyond the paper size may not get printed.

Please refer to your printer manual to check if your printer supports duplex printing.

You will need to clear the jam and once that is done, the printer will restart printing. The print job may need to be re-initiated.

This depends on the size of the job. One-page documents should be saved in your printer's memory and would normally print after a paper reload. For longer documents or color images, they may have to be resent.

You need to register yourself with the data requested by the PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) wireless mobile print app to activate your subscription for PrintJinni Services and print supported Microsoft Office documents, webpages and utilize the full wireless mobile printing functionality. The registration data is required to track your subscription period and monitor usage per the terms and conditions. In case you don't want to register, then you may opt for the Limited Use Option, in which case PrintJinni (Apple iOS Version) can still function on your Apple device with limited functionality available through "My Photos" for printing only JPEG files.

Setup and Usage

In PrintJinni (Android Version), you will need to provide a valid email address or your Facebook or Google+ (on Google Play) or Amazon (on Amazon Appstore) credentials, to register and use PrintJinni Services. The general process is as follows:

  • Your custom email filing rules may have moved our PIN email from the Inbox to one of your email Folders. Please check all your email Folders.

This can occur due to either of the following:

  • Your subscription to PrintJinni Services has expired. Please use "Buy Services" to purchase a new subscription to avail all features.

When you print from a Google Cloud Print supported app, e.g., Gmail, the job is queued by Google Cloud Print for processing and then sent to your device. If there a communication failure during this time (due to a poor connection or network traffic) between Google Cloud Print and the device, PrintJinni may not be able to print the desired document. We suggest that you retry later.

Sometimes when you are in an authorized session and try to print, the URL request sent to the web server will get rejected as the logged session cannot be validated and will result in an error. For such pages, select and copy the text content you wish to print from your browser and use PrintJinni's "Paste Board" to print.

Yes, only text content is pasted into "Paste Board". Alternatively, if you are in a non-secure session, you can print using More->Share Page->"Print with PrintJinni".

You may not be able to print photos from your Google+, Flickr or Picasa account due to the following:

  • You have selected the Limited Use Option at the time of registration.Download and reinstall the app again and complete the registration process as instructed.
  • You may not have access to your account due to network problems. Check your network connection.
  • Your credentials may be incorrect. Try re-entering them in "Social Networks".

It is very likely that your printer is not supported. Please check your printer manual to make sure it is a ESC/P®-R, PostScript 3, PCL 3, PCL 5 or PCL 6 compatible printer. (For more details please refer to your respective manufacturer: Dell, Epson, HP, Lexmark, OKI, Ricoh, Samsung, Xerox.)

Open the printer tray, reset the tray slot and replace the existing paper with the required size.

Print to any size smaller than the paper available in the printer. Else, the content in your document that is beyond the paper size may not get printed.

Please refer to your printer manual to check if your printer supports duplex printing.

You will need to clear the jam and once that is done, the printer will restart printing. The print job may need to be re-initiated.

This depends on the size of the job. One-page documents should be saved in your printer's memory and would normally print after a paper reload. For longer documents or color images, they may have to be resent.

Setup and Usage

In PrintJinni for Windows Phone, you will need to provide a valid email address or your Facebook or Windows Live credentials, to register and use PrintJinni Services. This will enable printing of supported Microsoft Office documents, webpages and utilize the wireless mobile printing functionality.

The general process is as follows:

  • Ensure that your Windows Phone has internet access through either Wi-Fi or 3G/4G network (through your broadband/cellular service connection) to purchase apps from the Windows® store.
  • Download PrintJinni from the Windows® store
  • Register by submitting a valid email address or Facebook or Windows Live credentials.
  • Ensure that your Windows Phone and the printer are on the Wi-Fi network.
  • Run PrintJinni. Ensure that your Windows Phone has internet access through either Wi-Fi or 3G/4G network for accessing your email and the Cloud Services (if needed). Also, ensure that your Windows Phone has access to the printer over Wi-Fi.
  • For email:
    • Open the mail using the Windows Mail app.
    • Press and hold the supported file attachment.
    • You will get a pop-up to “Open in PrintJinni”.
    • Once open, you can preview and print.
  • For photo/image printing:
    • For photos:
      • In “Photo Viewer”, select and add the photos from the Camera Roll.
      • Preview, resize through zoom (if needed) and print.
    • For images:
      • Save the images to “Camera Roll” .
      • In “Photo Viewer”, select and add the images from the Camera Roll.
      • Preview, resize through zoom (if needed) and print.
  • For webpage printing:
    • Type/copy the URL you wish to print into the address bar and hit ‘Go’.
    • PrintJinni generates a preview of the webpage and you can print the same.
    • For secure webpages/authorized sessions, select and copy the content into “Paste Board” to print.
  • For web storage printing:
    • Select OneDrive and login to your account.
    • Select and download the file that needs to be printed.
    • Preview and print.
  • For “Paste Board” printing:
    • Select and copy the content you wish to print.
    • Paste it in the “Paste Board”.
    • Print.

No. PrintJinni for Windows Phone can only print via Wi-Fi networks to supported printers that are accessible directly.

No. PrintJinni for Windows Phone supports printers without built-in Wi-Fi capability, which are connected to a Wi-Fi router (printer must be one of the PrintJinni supported printers - refer to Specifications.

If your printer is a PrintJinni supported printer (refer to Specifications), and is available on the Wi-Fi network, then PrintJinni should automatically discover it. If not, please add it manually.

If your printer is a PrintJinni supported printer (refer to Specifications), and is on the Wi-Fi network but is not discovered by PrintJinni for Windows Phone, you have to enter the printer name and a valid IP address. Once added, you can validate to check the availability of the printer. Once validated, your printer is ready to use.

Back button will cancel the job.

You can access the Cloud Service if you have a valid PrintJinni Services subscription and have access to a Wi-Fi or 3G/4G or GPRS network.

From the PrintJinni for Windows Phone wireless mobile print app, select “Buy Services”. Your subscription details (subscription end date) will be displayed. Once your subscription ends, you will be able to choose and buy any one of the PrintJinni Services subscription that is displayed.

Troubleshooting

Our PIN email should be delivered to your email account within a few minutes of registration, subject to Internet traffic conditions. If you are using the Chinese (Simplified), Japanese or Korean version of the app, please ensure that your email address is entered using the International English keyboard.

If you have not received it after a reasonable wait, please follow these instructions:

  • Your custom email filing rules may have moved our PIN email from the Inbox to one of your email Folders. Please check all your email Folders.
  • Occasionally, your email account or internet service provider may classify our PIN email as Spam or Junk. Please check your Spam or Junk email folders and add our email address to your Safe Senders list.

    If you still have not found our PIN email, it may be lost or blocked by your internet service provider. Please contact our support for assistance by clicking here and note the following:

  • Do not forget to provide the email id you supplied during registration to help us retrieve your PIN. Without this, we will not be able to validate you.
  • In addition, in your support request (in the additional details section), please provide us with an alternate email id (such as a Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo mail id). This is to ensure that our email reaches you.
  • You may also use your Facebook or Windows Live credentials to register for PrintJinni Services.

Please ensure that:

  • Your printer is a PrintJinni supported printer (refer to Specifications).
  • The printer has been setup using Wi-Fi guidelines as per the Printer User Manual.
  • The printer is turned ON.
  • Your printer is connected to the same network as your Windows Phone.
  • If you know your printer’s IP address, it can be entered manually.

PrintJinni Windows Phone does not store manually added printers. It has to be re-entered.

Your PrintJinni Services subscription might have expired. Please check the validity of your subscription under "Buy Services".

This can occur due to the expiry of your subscription to PrintJinni Services. Please use “Buy Services” to purchase a new PrintJinni Services subscription.

It is very likely that your printer is not supported. Please check your printer manual to make sure it is a PrintJinni supported printer (refer to Specifications).(For more details please refer to your respective manufacturer: Dell, Epson, HP, Lexmark, OKI, Ricoh, Samsung, Xerox.)

Open the printer tray, reset the tray slot and replace the existing paper with the required size.

Print to any size smaller than the paper available in the printer. Else, the content in your document that is beyond the paper size may not get printed.

You will need to clear the jam and once that is done, the printer will restart printing. The print job may need to be re-initiated.

This depends on the size of the job. One-page documents should be saved in your printer's memory and would normally print after a paper reload. For longer documents or color images, they may have to be resent.

You need to register yourself with the data requested by the PrintJinni for Windows Phone wireless mobile print app to activate your subscription for PrintJinni Services and print supported Microsoft Office documents, webpages and utilize the wireless mobile printing functionality. The registration data is required to track your subscription period and monitor usage per the terms and conditions.
